David's Towing and Tire

Towing vehicles from a gravel lot with no lines and no curbs and when asked how they determined the car was double parked they had no answer other than file a grievance. How do you determine which car was there first and which car may have double parked if there are no lines or curbs? Very hostile on the phone when asking questions and very defensive in my opinion. Payed the towing fee and picked the car up. Very good way to make money.

Extremely disappointing experience — I strongly recommend avoiding David’s Tire. They charged me $50 just to add air to the tires. Even more concerning, they diagnosed what they claimed was a serious problem requiring approximately $3,000 in repairs and used that diagnosis as the reason to reject my vehicle for the Virginia state inspection. Because I was not comfortable with their diagnosis, I took the vehicle to another professional shop for a second opinion. The second inspection confirmed that David’s Tire’s diagnosis was incorrect, the proposed $3,000 repair was not necessary, and the reason they gave for rejecting the state inspection was not valid. This experience completely destroyed my confidence in their diagnostics and recommendations. Had I simply trusted their assessment, I could have spent thousands of dollars on repairs that were not needed. Based on my personal experience, I would not take my vehicle to David’s Tire under any circumstances. If you do go there and are told that you need an expensive repair, I strongly recommend getting an independent second opinion before authorizing any work.

I want to edit my review. The company did the right thing and corrected the services rendered without me asking them to do so. The 2024 manufactured tire was replaced with a 2026 tire. I appreciate the effort to make this right.

Over the years I’ve taken 6 vehicles and our travel trailer to David’s for repairs and inspections. The staff is always polite and welcoming. I appreciate the fact they go out of their way to explain needed repairs prior to starting work. I won’t take my vehicles anywhere else.

I understand that towing companies have a job to do, but working in customer service requires a basic level of professionalism and decency.I arrived at this location calm and collected to retrieve my vehicle after it was towed from my workplace. When I asked to inspect my car and requested their insurance information to ensure no damages had occurred, I was immediately met with frustration. Instead of providing the details, the staff defensively questioned, “Why do you need that?” in a highly annoyed tone. When I politely explained that I was not trying to be difficult, the receptionist looked at me and stated, “Well, you are,” in an incredibly snarky and unprofessional manner. Fortunately, one calm and professional employee eventually took me to the back to check my vehicle. Luckily, my car was undamaged, but the process of confirming that should not have involved so much hostility. While the field workers may do their jobs, the front-of-house staff needs serious training on how to interact with the public. Meeting customers with automatic hostility and rudeness is completely unacceptable.
